Organizing Threads, Stitching & Love

Every now and then my work space becomes unmanageable. I’m not the most organized person, but I know where everything is in my little chaotic work area, until it reaches a point when I can’t stand it any more. So yesterday I did what my husband always does (he’s a masterful organizer) when he’s organizing things. I pulled everything off of every surface and out of every drawer and started anew. Putting things away in places that, I hope, will make sense when I go looking for them, was therapeutic. I don’t have a before photo, but these are my after shots. And of course Merlin had to find a perch front and center.

Do you see how Merlin found the perfect spot? So much so that he is featured in every shot. Clever kitty.

Now I have to tackle my other work area… But I’m confident that I’ll be able to clear things up so that I have a surface where I can paint fabric or at least this is my hope.

By the way it took me several days of determination to wind and organize all of my House of Embroidery Threads. Look how pretty they are now!!

If you want to purchase the entire collection of House of Embroidery Threads in either 5 weight and/or 8 weight, they are giving a special discount to all of my followers. You must use AZ for your coupon code during checkout to receive the entire collection, that’s 279 colors for just $400. This is a HUGE savings! The threads come pre-wound on little cards in two boxes and each is labeled. The 5 weight threads are about 5.5 yards and the 8 weight threads are almost 10 yards!

I don’t know about you, but my life is so much better because of hand stitching. Stitching and love of others, whether creatures, human and otherwise, so today’s love bomb comes from this furry duo… May we all have time to do a little stitching and express and receive love.

  1. Do I see two Allium threads sacs tucked into the corner Ariane? I need to get one started along with t4 other projects give or take 100! Enjoyed the tail end of your live stream today Iā€™m going to watch it tonight for the entirety. Thanks for talking louder. It did help but fortunately they turned off most of the equipment after they worked right below my condo.

    1. I know. It’s kind of too good to be true, with the added plus that they come pre-wound and organized in little boxes. Sigh. If only all thread companies did this, our lives would be easier! šŸ’•
