As I grow older I am more and more appreciative of my parents and all they did and, in my mother’s case, still does. So I begin this post with a photo of my parents, above. It’s one of my favorites. I think my mother was a little younger than I am now, when this photograph was taken. When I look at it, I see a vibrant, smart, funny, beautiful woman sitting next to the man she loved, my father. Two, beautifully flawed human beings who, together raised five children. I am their youngest. I am grateful that though they weathered some very rough times, humor was something they both appreciated and passed on to all of my siblings and me.
As most of you already know, my mother sends me little videos, heartwarming stories, funny quotes, and other miscellaneous bits of humor and joy to brighten the day of all who receive them, and so I wanted to pass this one along to all of you.
In other news: The thread kits for my Rock Gardens: A Variation on a Japanese Rice Sack are available at The Thread Gatherer. Click ‘here‘ to view the thread kit. The photograph below is from The Thread Gatherer’s page where they are featuring my design and their thread kit. These thread kits are at a discount and are all the embellishment threads you will need for the Rock Garden Design. Very exciting!

And finally I”m busy working on my next design, as well as a couple of ideas I have for the holidays. I know. It’s not even September yet, but if I’m going to get these ideas out of my head and onto the page I need to have started yesterday!
