It’s been a whirlwind of activity around here. I turned 60 last week and took the day off! My husband organized the most fabulous little dinner for me up on our roof. He and my son decorated with flowers and fairy lights; it was magical. My BFF cooked an amazing dinner and brought a HUGE cake. We were outside, under the stars (and lights) with a couple of friends, it was really, really beautiful. I am so grateful.
The next day it was back to work. I had more than 20 hours of video to edit for my latest design project, and then there was all the other stuff one needs to do to take a design and get it out into the world. Instructions needed to be edited and finished, links needed to be embedded, PDF files needed to be created… At one point I had a to do list that ran more than four pages. But I worked really, really hard, and this morning I’m launching my newest design! Rock Gardens: A Variation on a Japanese Rice Sack – A DIY Embroidered Bag! Here’s the little teaser I made for it. ❤️
On my YouTube Channel I made a longer video about it, how it came into being, what I was thinking about and all of that.
And then yesterday afternoon when I’d finished getting everything ready for my big launch I began designing my next project, which I’m thinking might be an AZ Stitch-along. But I haven’t figured out all the details yet. In the meantime, I’m working on my livestream and mapping out my Zoom workshops. Hopefully I’ll have more on that soon.
My multi-talented husband just finished designing his website and now is starting in on designing mine!! Here’s his, Longad.com for those of you who might be curious about the fabulous man I married a couple decades back…
