A New Design Has Launched!

It’s been a whirlwind of activity around here. I turned 60 last week and took the day off! My husband organized the most fabulous little dinner for me up on our roof. He and my son decorated with flowers and fairy lights; it was magical. My BFF cooked an amazing dinner and brought a HUGE cake. We were outside, under the stars (and lights) with a couple of friends, it was really, really beautiful. I am so grateful.

The next day it was back to work. I had more than 20 hours of video to edit for my latest design project, and then there was all the other stuff one needs to do to take a design and get it out into the world. Instructions needed to be edited and finished, links needed to be embedded, PDF files needed to be created… At one point I had a to do list that ran more than four pages. But I worked really, really hard, and this morning I’m launching my newest design! Rock Gardens: A Variation on a Japanese Rice Sack – A DIY Embroidered Bag! Here’s the little teaser I made for it. ❤️

On my YouTube Channel I made a longer video about it, how it came into being, what I was thinking about and all of that.

And then yesterday afternoon when I’d finished getting everything ready for my big launch I began designing my next project, which I’m thinking might be an AZ Stitch-along. But I haven’t figured out all the details yet. In the meantime, I’m working on my livestream and mapping out my Zoom workshops. Hopefully I’ll have more on that soon.

My multi-talented husband just finished designing his website and now is starting in on designing mine!! Here’s his, Longad.com for those of you who might be curious about the fabulous man I married a couple decades back…

  1. I would love some kind of stitch along. I like the companionship of working somewhat in tandem with the ability to play catch up as needed. If I could make a suggestion, if you offer lots in advance of starting dates it could be mutually beneficial. I do other quilt alongs and that is a definite plus.

    1. Yes, I’m going to have to look into that. Sadly with the way things are moving it may take several months to gather together all the materials and then several more months to get it out to everyone and it’s impossible to know how many people will opt in. I might try to begin with a set number of kits, but if I sell out, then it will be more months of waiting before I could begin… So that’s the biggest issue I’m dealing with.
